Matters
Camera movement
Pan, tilt, zoom, roll and shake across the clip. The hatched stretch is where the camera settles.
Resurface reads every shot: who is in it, how the camera moves, whether it is sharp. All on your Mac. Nothing uploaded.

Usable together
Every shot is measured second by second. Choose the things the shot has to get right, and Resurface marks the stretch where every one of them is true at once. No scrubbing to find it.
Find it
Plain words, not file names. Resurface ranks every matching shot and shows how many it found as you type.
What it reads
Matters
Pan, tilt, zoom, roll and shake across the clip. The hatched stretch is where the camera settles.
Matters
Sharpness and brightness through the clip, so a soft opening shows in the curve, not the edit.
Matters
Eyes open, looking at camera, smiling, sharp. Name a face once and it is named everywhere.
A plain description of every shot, with people, animals, objects and vehicles labelled the same way throughout.
The weather at the time and place of the shot, from historical records.
RushSwipe
Judge rushes one shot at a time, the way you swipe in other apps: left for no, right for yes, up for super. A day of footage goes by fast.
Three shot cards move left, right and up to show the no, yes and super choices.
← no ↑ super → yes S skip U undo
Resurface Helper
Writing shot descriptions is the heaviest job. Install Resurface Helper on your other Macs and the app shares that work out across them, keeps track of every machine and shows the whole library's progress in one place.
In progress: rented GPU machines joining the fleet for extra speed. Opt-in, and they receive encrypted stills, never your clips.
Your footage
Nothing is uploaded.
You already paid for the drives.
Your footage is not a dataset.
It finds footage; it does not invent it.

Resurface is being built against a real working archive. Leave your email and we will write when there is a build for you to try. One email to confirm, then nothing until there is something to test.
